A Blessed Home in Old Salem
Bread of Heaven found its home in a Moravian-era tavern on South Main Street — and the fit feels almost destined. This is soul food rooted in centuries of tradition, made from scratch and served with genuine warmth.
Great breakfast, absolutely amazing staff, will be back again. Biscuits and gravy were delicious, country fried steak was quite tasty and paired well with the gravy, hashbrowns were solid. Solid quality food. The coffee was delicious and the hostess/waitress was sweet and very attentive. The decor is true to period and the experience as a whole is something I would gladly go back for.
I’m am a very picky eater, but baby I killed my food and ate some of my husbands, I got the meatloaf and that was the best meatloaf I had ever tasted. Everything was so flavorful and good. The service was amazing and we will be driving that hour and a half drive again. 10/10
Excellent soul food...We had a GREAT experience. The hostess was the best and the food was even better! It's definitely someone granny in the back cooking and she definitely know what she is doing, and the food was well seasoned. Delicious!!! Can't wait to come back and try some more food!
